My grandparents raised 4 of their own kids and helped to raise six foster children as well. When it was time for them to retire, we children chipped in to send them on a cruise they remember for the rest of their lives. We pooled our money together and went to Orbitz coupons to plan for a world cruise. Raising children didn’t leave them much time to see the world more than a few miles from our neighborhood and we wanted to give them a gift to show our love for all they had done. Only a Grand cruise around the world would do.
Destinations and Ports of Call
Orbitz allowed us to plan a vacation that they would never have booked for themselves. They visited ports such as China, Mombasa, Tokyo and Singapore. In China they spent time at such attractions as Lantau Island and the Po Lin Monastery. They soaked up some sun at Cheung Sha Beach. My grandparents felt like quite the world travelers as they asked on the sand.
In Mombasa they got a taste of adventure when they explored Mombasa National Park and Reserve and went snorkeling at the Marine Reserve Area so they could see first-hand the natural coral reefs that support so much of the ocean life. You can access the marine park from the beaches of Shanzu, Bamburi and Nyali. We didn’t believe it ourselves until we saw the shots they took during such an amazing feat.
When they arrived in Singapore they stopped at the Singapore Discovery Centre so that they could begin to understand the Singapore lifestyle. These are just some of the ports of call they fell in love with.
On The Ship
Incredible dining, ballroom dancing, gambling, and a wide array of activities were always happening on board in which they took part in. On days when they just needed to take a break from all the fun and excitement, they lounged around the pool and made new friends with whom they still talk to. The beauty of sunset upon the ocean is a sight that must be seen to be believed they told us.
When you are ready to set sail anywhere on the globe then check out Orbitz so that you can book your cruise and traverse exotic ports this world has to offer!
