The best way to hold/handle your hamster is to bee in a room with no holes were your hamster can escape because i got scared to death when my hamster went round the back of the toilet in a little hole but i did get him back! Also you should let your hamster move from one hand to the other for your hamster to get used to you and your hand smell! Make sure you wash your hands first though you might get a nasty bite if the hamster mistakes you for food!
